Software Engineer (.NET): Remote, Sri Lanka

You’ll join our development team building and improving our .NET applications: new features, API integrations, bug fixes and deployments. You’ll work with experienced developers who will review your code and help you grow. If you’re early in your career, this is a role where you’ll learn a lot, quickly.

We’re growing into New Zealand and the US.

What you’ll do

  • Build features in C#, ASP.NET Core and .NET
  • Write and optimise queries in SQL Server or PostgreSQL
  • Build and maintain API integrations with third-party systems
  • Deploy and support applications on Azure and IIS
  • Work with file storage on Azure Storage and AWS S3
  • Use GitHub Actions for builds and deployments
  • Follow our Git Flow branching process (feature, develop, release, hotfix)
  • Use GitHub Copilot and AI tools to work faster and smarter

What we’re looking for

  • 1–3 years of experience with C# and .NET / .NET Core, or a degree or diploma in IT/Computer Science with solid C# skills from projects or internships
  • Understanding of SQL (SQL Server or PostgreSQL)
  • Basic knowledge of REST APIs
  • Comfortable with Git
  • Good English communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn and take ownership of your work

Nice to have (we’ll teach you if you don’t have these yet)

  • Azure (App Services, Storage) and IIS deployment
  • AWS S3
  • GitHub Actions / CI-CD
  • Git Flow branching (SmartGit or similar)
  • GitHub Copilot experience

We’re growing into New Zealand and the US, and we’re adding AI throughout our products.

What you’ll do

  • Lead architecture, design and code reviews for our ASP.NET Core / C# applications
  • Design and run solutions on Microsoft Azure: App Services, Azure Storage (Blob, Queue, Table), Functions and related services
  • Build AI features and automations with the Claude API and Azure AI Foundry, such as chat assistants, document processing and workflow automation
  • Write Python for AI pipelines, integrations and tooling
  • Design and tune databases in SQL Server and PostgreSQL
  • Mentor developers, set coding standards and improve CI/CD and release quality
  • Work closely with the Australian leadership team to plan and deliver features

What you’ll bring

  • 5+ years of professional software development with C# and .NET (ASP.NET Core)
  • Experience leading a team or acting as technical lead
  • Strong hands-on Azure experience, including Azure Storage
  • Practical experience building with LLMs: the Claude API, Azure AI Foundry or similar
  • Working knowledge of Python
  • Solid SQL Server and PostgreSQL skills (schema design, queries, performance)
  • Clear written and spoken English for working with an Australian team

Nice to have

  • .NET MAUI
  • Experience with prompt design, tool use / function calling, or RAG
  • Background in glass manufacturing, inventory or business software
  • GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps pipelines
